3.2.4 Face Macros

The macros listed in Table  3.2.20- 3.2.23 can be used to return real face variables in SI units. They are identified by the F_ prefix. Note that these variables are available only in the pressure-based solver. In addition, quantities that are returned are available only if the corresponding physical model is active. For example, species mass fraction is available only if species transport has been enabled in the Species Model dialog box in ANSYS FLUENT. Definitions for these macros can be found in the referenced header files (e.g., mem.h).

Face Centroid ( F_CENTROID)

The macro listed in Table  3.2.20 can be used to obtain the real centroid of a face. F_CENTROID finds the coordinate position of the centroid of the face f and stores the coordinates in the x array. Note that the x array is always one-dimensional, but it can be x[2] or x[3] depending on whether you are using the 2D or 3D solver.

Table 3.2.20: Macro for Face Centroids Defined in metric.h
Macro Argument Types Outputs
F_CENTROID(x,f,t) real x[ND_ND], face_t f, Thread *t x (face centroid)

The ND_ND macro returns 2 or 3 in 2D and 3D cases, respectively, as defined in Section  3.4.2. Section  2.3.15 contains an example of F_CENTROID usage.

Face Area Vector ( F_AREA)

F_AREA can be used to return the real face area vector (or `face area normal') of a given face f in a face thread t. See Section  2.7.3 for an example UDF that utilizes F_AREA.

Table 3.2.21: Macro for Face Area Vector Defined in metric.h
Macro Argument Types Outputs
F_AREA(A,f,t) A[ND_ND], face_t f, Thread *t A (area vector)

By convention in ANSYS FLUENT, boundary face area normals always point out of the domain. ANSYS FLUENT determines the direction of the face area normals for interior faces by applying the right hand rule to the nodes on a face, in order of increasing node number. This is shown in Figure  3.2.1.

Figure 3.2.1: ANSYS FLUENT Determination of Face Area Normal Direction: 2D Face
figure

ANSYS FLUENT assigns adjacent cells to an interior face ( c0 and c1) according to the following convention: the cell out of which a face area normal is pointing is designated as cell C0, while the cell in to which a face area normal is pointing is cell c1 (Figure  3.2.1). In other words, face area normals always point from cell c0 to cell c1.

Flow Variable Macros for Boundary Faces

The macros listed in Table  3.2.22 access flow variables at a boundary face.

Kagachisama Onagusame Tatematsurimasu Remaster Extra Quality Link Official

The Kagachi-sama on Onagusame Tatematsurimasu Remaster Extra Quality edition represents a successful initiative in digital preservation. By leveraging modern upscaling techniques and optimizing the game engine for current hardware, Navel has ensured the title remains accessible to a contemporary audience. While the "Extra Quality" moniker primarily denotes visual and audio fidelity upgrades rather than new narrative content, the technical execution provides a definitive way to experience the title. The release serves as a benchmark for how legacy visual novels can be respectfully transitioned into the high-definition era.

The original release of the visual novel suffered from compatibility bottlenecks inherent to older Japanese software development kits. As operating systems advanced, playing the original title on modern machines required complex locale emulation and caused frequent rendering crashes.

The "extra quality" tag can sometimes be community-driven. A search reveals the game is available from sources that offer it as a (Simplified Chinese Windows) file with a file size of 621MB . Furthermore, the game is listed on the GOG Dreamlist , a platform for users to vote on which classic games they would like to see released DRM-free with modern OS support. A strong show of support there could lead to an official "extra quality" digital release.

Beyond raw resolution, the remaster plays a crucial role in preserving the specific artistic identity of the title. Kagachi-sama is distinctive for its heavy use of shading and its almost painterly aesthetic, which sets it apart from the cleaner, flatter visual styles common in many contemporary visual novels. kagachisama onagusame tatematsurimasu remaster extra quality

It is renowned for its oppressive, eerie atmosphere, relying on subtle sound design and unsettling art rather than jump scares. Why a "Remaster Extra Quality" Version is Essential

Translated, it roughly means "I will respectfully and properly worship (or serve) the Great Goddess (or the Divine Emperor)"

It allows a new generation of players to experience a classic, specialized form of horror that is often overshadowed by mainstream titles. For enthusiasts of folklore-driven psychological horror, this is a title that, when polished to "Extra Quality," can stand alongside the best in the genre. Conclusion: A Haunting Return The release serves as a benchmark for how

The bell tolled once, a clean note that cut through the morning mist like a blade. In the shrine courtyard, lanterns still clung to the chill of dawn. Kageno, the young shrine attendant, stood with his palms folded and eyes lowered, holding the lacquered box that had been entrusted to him the night before. Inside, wrapped in crimson silk, lay the small amulet they called the onagusame—an heirloom of healing and tempering, said to hold the balm of small mercies and the sharpness of unyielding resolve.

The title refers to a celebrated entry within a highly specific, niche genre of Japanese visual novels. The title translates roughly to “Offering Consolation to Lord Kagachi,” and the Extra Quality Remaster represents a polished, definitive version of a cult-classic title.

The announcement of the remastered version of "Kagachisama, Onagusame Tatematsurimasu" under the banner of "Extra Quality" has sent waves of excitement through the fandom. This highly anticipated re-release promises not only to revisit the captivating narrative of Kagachisama and the endearing, possibly enigmatic, Onagusame but also to elevate the entire experience to unprecedented heights of audiovisual excellence. The "extra quality" tag can sometimes be community-driven

High-Definition Asset OverhaulThe most immediate change is the visual fidelity. In the Remaster Extra Quality version, original sprites and background illustrations have been meticulously upscaled or redrawn. This eliminates the pixelation and blurring common when playing older titles on 4K or 1080p monitors. The lines are sharper, and the color gradients are significantly smoother.

Due to the visual novel's notoriety and success among fans of dark adult subgenres, the property was adapted into an adult animated series (OVA) under the title Kagachi-sama Onagusame Tatematsurimasu: Netorare Mura Inya Hanashi The Animation .

: The "Extra Quality" designation typically implies optimized frame rates and faster loading times, which are essential for maintaining the rhythmic, almost hypnotic pace of the narrative. Enhanced Soundscapes

Flow Variable Macros at Interior and Boundary Faces

The macros listed in Table  3.2.23 access flow variables at interior faces and boundary faces.

Table 3.2.23: Macros for Interior and Boundary Face Flow Variables Defined in mem.h
Macro Argument Types Returns
F_P(f,t) face_t f, Thread *t, pressure
F_FLUX(f,t) face_t f, Thread *t mass flow rate through a face

F_FLUX can be used to return the real scalar mass flow rate through a given face f in a face thread t. The sign of F_FLUX that is computed by the ANSYS FLUENT solver is positive if the flow direction is the same as the face area normal direction (as determined by F_AREA - see Section  3.2.4), and is negative if the flow direction and the face area normal directions are opposite. In other words, the flux is positive if the flow is out of the domain, and is negative if the flow is in to the domain.

Note that the sign of the flux that is computed by the solver is opposite to that which is reported in the ANSYS FLUENT GUI (e.g., the Flux Reports dialog box).
